Many active adults in Sarasota face the same dilemma when pain shows up: push through it, give up the activities they enjoy, or jump straight to aggressive treatments that may not be necessary. In my work as a chiropractor, I focus on offering a different path. My goal is to help people move better, recover faster, and stay active without relying on endless appointments or extreme interventions. I do not believe in quick, traditional adjust-and-out visits. Instead, I take a comprehensive approach that blends hands-on care with education so patients understand their bodies and can maintain progress long after they leave the office. Independence is the goal, not dependency.
My journey into practice shaped that philosophy. After graduating in 2024, I knew I wanted to build a clinic that reflected my values, not a one-size-fits-all model. That meant taking the harder route and opening my own practice rather than joining a large clinic. I started with a mobile chiropractic setup because I could not take on office overhead right away. I drove to patients’ homes, gyms, and workplaces, and those early months taught me the importance of service, results, and relationships. When you operate without a big budget, you learn quickly that the basics matter most. Luckily, I was born and raised in Sarasota, FL, which gave me somewhat of a head start.
Eventually, I found space on Longboat Key. Being the only provider in that area helped me build a reputation quickly, but the seasonality made it clear that the location was not sustainable year-round. Moving to downtown Sarasota allowed me to serve a more consistent community while keeping the same patient-first approach. That move reinforced something I already believed: if you take care of people, they will take care of your business.
Marketing a healthcare practice is its own challenge, especially when you want to grow without relying on expensive advertising. I lean heavily on word-of-mouth referrals and relationships with other doctors. When a referred patient improves, that outcome becomes the most credible form of marketing. I also spend time learning Google search engine optimization and using modern tools to understand how people look for conservative care online. For anyone running a small business, the lesson is simple: solve real problems consistently, then make it easy for people to find you.
What keeps me energized as a clinician is the same thing most patients want from care: a better quality of life. I stay active through workouts, basketball, fishing, and time with my family. Even meaningful work can lead to burnout without balance, movement, and rest. I also manage my own injuries with physical therapy, which gives me a deeper understanding of what patients experience along with new strategies for improving patient outcomes faster.
The most rewarding moments come from patient stories. I have seen people go from struggling to walk to biking miles each day. I have watched patients regain confidence, strength, and independence. Those transformations remind me why I chose this profession and why I continue to push myself to grow. My mission is to become the best version of myself while leaving my community better than I found it.
If you are dealing with pain, recovering from an injury, or simply trying to stay active as you age, the core idea remains the same: combine smart conservative treatment with the tools to prevent recurrence, and you can stay in the game longer.
